Biographical notes on the painter: Andrea Pagnacco,
painter and engraver, was born in 1937 in Venice. He began exhibiting from 1958.
His artistic talents were recognized by the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation in Venice which awarded him a scholarship for a few years in the form of an atelier in Palazzo Carminati. He lives and works in Venice and Wabern-Berna (Switzerland).
He later participated in important art events such as the Suzzara Prize, the Turin Quadrennial, the Michetti Prize of Francavilla al Mare, the Basel Art Fair, the New York Artexpo, etc. His personal exhibitions have been set up in Venice, Milan, Brescia, Bari, Ferrara, Rome, Bonn, Verona, Geneva, Zurich, Basel, etc.
Pagnacco has always been interested in linoleumgraphy and is a member of the Associazione Incisori Veneti.
He has participated in the art fairs of Basel, New York, Bologna and Bari.
He has more than two hundred collective and group exhibitions to his credit and over 70 solo exhibitions in Italy and abroad.
He collaborates with the weekly "L'Eco", published in Basel, with articles on figurative art.
In the past years he has manually interested himself in cinema with a set of experimental shorts.
