Madonna, adorned with a crown, supports the newborn Jesus.
The position of the child, naked, represented in diagonal movement, can be found in other sculptures of the time, in particular there are similarities with the school of Ulm: the city, home of several Bavarian sculptors of the Gothic and Renaissance tradition.
The sculpture, originally painted, retains only some traces of polychromy, but these still make these reminiscences suggestive today. There are small wooden defects and wear, inevitable in a sculpture that is several hundred years old.
The carvings of the separate locks of hair are very beautiful, very graphic and with a great decorative effect.
Sculpture needs restoration.
