With a very decorative vintage metal and wooden frame, with glass. 

Signed by hand FINZI and dated 1978 lower right corner by the artist.

It exemplifies his abstract style, characterized by a skillful use of light and color. The sinuous lines and geometric shapes create a visual dynamism that engages the viewer, in a continuous play of light and color vibration.

Biographical Notes

Ennio Finzi, born in 1931 in Venice, is a prominent figure in Italian abstract art. Finzi was influenced by the Spatialist Movement and contributed to the development of kinetic art, exploring the interaction between light and the painted surface.

Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous prestigious exhibitions. Among these, the Venice Biennale and the Rome Quadriennale are particularly significant. One of his most notable participations was in the exhibition "Themes and Variations. The Empire of Light" at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, inaugurated in 2002, which highlighted the evolution of abstract and kinetic art and the role of light in artworks. At MART (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto), he exhibited in the show "Ennio Finzi. Color, Light, and its Reflections" in 2011, exploring his research on visual perception and experimentation with color.

Finzi has exhibited his works alongside those of internationally renowned artists such as Lucio Fontana, Piero Manzoni, and Getulio Alviani. He was a friend and collaborator of many contemporary artists, with whom he shared and exchanged ideas, significantly contributing to the evolution of abstract and kinetic art. His work is known for its innovative research on visual perception, where light becomes a central element of the artistic composition.
