Three monkeys.

Early XX century porcelain figurine form Royal Copenhagen manufactory.

Rare Model number 940, created by danish sculptor Knud Kyhn (1880 - 1969), who started to work at Royal Copenhagen in 1903. 

This model of Monkey trio was first created in 1908. The artist made different journeys to ZOO of Berlin, Hamburg, Paris, Lapponia etc to study animals and there attitudes.

Artist's name is incised on the tail of right monkey..

Painters number 50, un blue cobalt numbers under glaze.

Green mark Royal Copenhagen Denmark. 

Period 1920-1931 circa
