Ink drawing on blue-grey colored paper.  In pendant with a similar drawing published the day before on the site.  
To the left, a woman carries a gift to an altar with inscriptions in ancient Hebrew.  To the right is an apostle preaching to the old-fashioned people.  Very elegant and classic is the rhythm of the figures that follow one another in an ancient bas-relief.
 
Coming from the bequest of the Turin artist Luigi Guglielmino.
The collection of sketches and preparatory drawings mainly included works by his master, Enrico Reffo, one of the greatest exponents of Italian religious painting of the second half of the 19th century.
Our drawing must be a preparatory drawing or a sketch for a fresco project in one of the many Piedmontese buildings frescoed by Reffo and his pupils.
Drawing of great quality, which shows the continuity of the Italian and English academic drawing school, which continued to live in the Reffo Painter's atelier.
