Small sculpture of the king from the crib.
Italy, probably Siena.
XVIII century
The character wears a crown and holds his hand raised, as if holding the reins of a camel, carried by the King, part of the Christmas nativity scene. The statue is very light as it is made of papier-mâché with applications in fabric and tablets.
The whole has the original polychromy.
