Mosaic represents Roman ruins in the archaeological style of the mid 19th century.
The small beads that frame the brooch are made of mother of pearl.

There are numerous wears and signs of age on the mosaic. But the central part has all the glass paste cards in place.

The brooch can be detached from the bracelet and the bracelet replaced with a new one.
