The execution data of the painting coincides with Papikian's presence in Nice for the organization of the exhibition in 1995 and in the following year, with the museum's acquisition of R. Papikian's works for the Naif art museum in Nice.

In the painting "Prairies", the artist Robert Papikian develops the main theme of his work: the paradisiacal life of nature and the plants and animals that live there.
Hand-signed lower left, numerous inscriptions and defeca on the back.
The artist tries to tell the viewer about the beauty and tenderness of the surrounding and at the same time inaccessible world.

On the lower right frame there is a label with the name of the painting written in English and the label of the exhibition. From the painter's biography we know that he participated in an exhibition in Nice in 1995. There are works by the painter in the museum of naive art in Nice.

The painting is a handwritten dedication in Russian and French by the artist Roberto Papikian to Allain Roullier, writer, scholar and political activist from Nice (French Riviera, France).
Robert Papikian born in 1937 in the USSR.

Author of thousands of articles, photos, photo books and photo albums, children's books.

In 1966 he graduated from the journalism faculty of Lomonosov University in Moscow. He has worked in newspapers, magazines and publishing houses. At the age of 50, Papikyan became interested in painting and initiation to study art on his own. He quickly overcomes the realist period, the period of stylization of popular art, and prefers naive painting. Robert Papikyan's works are held in museums in Russia, France and in private collections in Russia and abroad.
