Maiolica Renaissance large plate called "Piatto da pompa".

Similar in subject to "coppa amatoria", popular plates with female o male profiles that represented, gifts before wedding. But our plate is large and could be called "Piatto da parata o pompa"

In the central part the male bust is painted, in profile, in the ancient style. On the left - a ribbon with the name "Martino" written on it.
The character wears a tall hat.
Colors: antimony yellow, green, dark brown and light brown.
Dark red earth, glazed with stanniferous varnish; inside, on the back leaves the foot and half of the plate unvarnished.
