Hagar and the angel.
XVII century.
Italian school.
Painting tells the Old Testament story of Hagar, to which the angel appears in the desert.
On the sidelines we see a very small child, the first son of Abraham and his servant Hagar: Ishmael. Abraham chased Sara and Ishmael, and they found themselves in the middle of the desert without food or water.
Not wanting to see his son die, Hagar puts him away from himself, but by a miracle an angel appears and the two are saved.
The painting is in good condition.
