Fairy Tale Scene Of A Knight With A Young Woman On Horseback.
Fairy tale scene of a knight abducting a young woman on horseback. Behind them, we see dark silhouettes, dwarves on crutches chasing the couple fleeing a city. The author of the painting creates a fairy-tale atmosphere, using splendid electric blues with a flavor that perhaps draws inspiration from futurist painting or the Russian theatrical experiments that took place at the beginning of the century in Paris. (Ballets russes by Djaghilev).
The fairly large painting, on thick gouache cardboard, is in good condition, with a few stains on the lower part. it was recently acquired by our gallery with another painting of the same format. One of the paintings is signed and dated in the upper right corner. And Cocard 1929.
To protect the paint on the back and protected by a wooden panel.
