Large oil painting on copper 16/17 century. Â
Italian school.
Dimensions: 59 cm x 46,5 cm
Painting depicting Christ with bare shoulders and long wavy hats, painted with precision typical of the Flemish school.  The melancholy and sweet gaze of Jesus, the beauty of his face convey an idea of religion prior to the Baroque. Â
Christ appears young, with his head tilted as if listening. Â The beard has a typical shape of the 16th century paintings with the parting in the middle. Â
The halo around Christ's head is made of many small rays. Â
The pictorial surface is in a very good state, if we take into consideration the age of the painting. Â He has very small falls, but they are not many. Â
The frame is from the first half of the 19th century, in gilded wood.
